Circles New Class Art Display

What about this for a ‘new class’ art display? Each child is given a square with 1/4 of a circle.

They could then decorate it in a way that defines them/tells you something about them.
Then simply join the 1/4’s together to create whole circles.

I love the simplicity of this as well as the bright and bold shapes.

It’s very Kandinsky don’t you think? Reminded me of the piece ‘colour of squares’…

Some of our community members suggested recreating this using collage instead of paint which would look fantastic!

  1. Hi Christina,

I just appreciate your idea to make quarter of circles, inspired by Kandinsky.
I’ll mention it in a training for French Teachers (primary school) next month.
My job is Inspecteur de l’Education Nationale in France.
    Nice to share through arts.
