Say Farewell to the ‘To do List’

Well, as promised I’ve been trying to get into the flow with the KS2 resources this week with a spot of Rainforests and Adaptation – both really interesting topics and although I haven’t managed to produce as much as I would have liked for them, it’s a start and something I can hopefully build on in the Summer.

The first part of my day though was spent on BuiLD YouR WiLD SeLF SO COOL! I built myself as a Lio-dog-wal-fro-ab-fly-lemur that lives in the rainforest – with tarantulas legs, monarch butterflies wings, a lemurs tail and giant bat ears I’d say I was very much adapted to my surroundings. If you want to instill some understanding into the concept of adaptation but still have some fun then definitely visit this site. I know Ian mentioned it last week as a way of creating new avatars and story characters too.

YOU Choose the Resources!

As a change for this week and as a bit of a challenge for myself I’m going to be doing things a little bit differently.
The ‘to do list’ is going in the drawer this week and I’m going to leave the decision making up to you. Every day this week you get to decide what resources I’ll be producing…

It’s going to be a challenge but I’m rather excited and looking forward to the variety that it will bring.
Starting tonight @7pm, using either Facebook or Twitter tell me what resources you want making and the first 10 each day will get their ideas brought to life within 24 hours.
It’s going to be a challenge but I’m rather excited and looking forward to the variety that it will bring.

To help me out though make sure in your comment you explain what it is that you are requesting – please no comments like “Victorians” – you’re going to have to be a little more specific to give me a chance! πŸ˜€

So if there’s a resource that you are desperate for in time for your new topic after half term, whether it be a display, teaching aid or activity then make sure you tweet us @TeachersPetUk or comment on our Facebook wall.

It’s first come first serve so get your request in early each day to make sure you don’t miss out!

Golden Oldie

This weeks ‘Golden Oldie’ might make a nice edition to all your EY/KS1 sports days that are happening at the moment.

Achievement badges and medals – A set of 12 achievement badges and medals to cut out and laminate. These are great for progress assemblies, using in the classroom or for attaching ribbon to and using as sports day awards.
